TUTORIALS:

If you need to find a tutorial on ANYTHING Blender go to The Blender Knowledge Base .  This is invaluable when you are first getting started.

FREE TEXTURES:

3D Cafe has royalty free textures and models.  Definately worth a look.

ANIMATED GIF:

GIF Construction Set has a feature that lets you turn a .avi file into an animated GIF.  Go to www.mindworkshop.com/alchemy/gifcon.html

3D FILES CONVERSION:

Many times you may find models on the internet not saved in Blender friendly format.  I found a program called 3DWin which can convert most model formats to .vml (VRML) format or .dfx (Autocad) format, both of which Blender can import. Very nice!  Get 3DWin at www.stmuc.com/thbaier/index.html.

MOVIE FILE CONVERSION:

If you are already familiar with Blender you should check out a program called RAD tools.  It lets you convert .avi files to just about any other type of movie file and you can mix in sound files to create your own movies.  Get that program at http://www.radgametools.com/.
